Starting Oblivion
Just to see what all the fuss is about, decided to try out Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, so picked up a copy for the PC. I never played Morrowind, so not quite sure what to expect, though I've been into RPGs quite a bit a few years back.
I'm just about a few minutes into it really, not having the time to play it much but really wanted to have it installed just to see it running. It's a pretty heavy beast, with the frame rate not being all that brilliant on my used-to-be-so-cool rig of Athlon 64 4000+ and 7800 GTX, even though my character starts in a sewer, so the enclosed space would be less imposing on the system! :P It's probably gonna fall to it's knees when I head outside!!
That said, I could lower the res a bit (running at my Dell 2405FPW's native 1920x1200) and perhaps lower the eye candy settings.. we'll see. So far so good.
