E3 2006: PS3.. not as good as Sony hopes?

Have been enjoying the coverage of this year's E3 over on Gamespot, have seen some pretty cool stuff so far. One recurring theme I've noticed on some other sites seem to be that the Sony PlayStation 3 stuff wasn't quite as impressive as some had hoped for.

I've not seen the entire Sony press conference so can't be sure yet, but check out an article on Wired on this topic.
